But it appears that using the old beater Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6D ED lens worked well enough even with my ham-fisted handheld "technique." It's not a AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor ED 70-200mm f/2.8G IF, but it's not broken, either. Maclay Middle School Meet #2 : Photos 1144-1520 from the 20 March 08 Middle School meet at Maclay School. It's getting old, but the lens/camera body CPU contacts are pretty much hosed. That's why so many photos appear overexposed. With a gallery full of shots, you may find it easier to navigate if you change the gallery "style" (top right) from "smugmug" to "all thumbs." Or "slideshow" or "filmstrip" or . . . you get the idea, it's configurable by you. I usually like "journal." Jesse Forbes T&F Invitational - Godby HS : 1 March 2008 meet at Godby HS. Posting 910 shots of what I snapped, including many overexposed/fried due to big lens cpu contact probs. Switched camera bodies later in the meet. Night shots had ISO bumped waay up, but with the lighting, the lens cpu problems, and my one-handed shooting, there's gonna be some blur. Out of focus shots are due to my careless style. No, I haven't even looked at most of these photos. I imagine some won't even be salvageable with heavy Photoshopping. Sorry! They're free, okay?
